The URD series of round motorized dampers are a double layered blade design with an integrated Poron™ sealing gasket. The superior design insures long life and zero maintenance. URD dampers are easy to install, easy to wire up and come with a 5 year warranty. The URD damper is constructed of heavy 24 ga galvanized steel with factory rolled stiffening beads. The nylon bearings and Thermotuff™ drive shafts insure smooth, quiet operation and provide a thermal barrier to the motor. The URD is designed to operate reliably at static pressures up to 1-1/2 in WC. The UL listed MA-ND5 actuator is a 24 VAC 3 wire power open/power close type rated at 18 in-lb of torque. It includes an integrated wiring terminal block and a NEMA1 rated housing. The MA-ND5 motor features bright green and red LED’s which correspond to the open and closed position of the blade. The “SAS” supply air sensor allows precise real time monitoring of the supply air temperature on your zoned HVAC system. The SAS wires directly into the BMPlus, NCM300, EWC-300, UZC4 and UT3000 series control panels and senses the supply air temperature in both heating and cooling modes. Using the adjustable potentiometers or LCD menu on the control panel, the installer can set the desired temperature limit set-points on most EWC zoned HVAC systems. This will protect the HVAC equipment from excessive temperature rise or fall during heating and cooling operations. EWC recommends mounting the SAS in the supply air plenum, approximately 6 to 12 in downstream of the heat exchanger or DX coil. The “OAS” outside air sensor allows precise real time monitoring of the outside air temperature on your zoned HVAC system. The optional “OAS” wires directly into the BMPlus series, UZC4 series or UT3000 control panels allowing the control system to monitor the outside air temperature. Using the adjustable potentiometer on the control panel or the LCD menu, the installer can set the desired outdoor temperature changeover setting, to engage supplemental or backup heating systems. The OAS comes standard with the HK2000 Economizer system. The OAS is a versatile device because it can be mounted on an outside wall or an outside air duct. Make sure the OAS is mounted completely outside of the house. Avoid direct sunlight. Do not mount the OAS low to the ground where snow can cover it. Do not mount the OAS close to exhaust vents of any type.
