Available in round and rectangular sizes, EWC Controls’ model SBD bypass dampers make bypass set-up simpler than ever. No measuring instruments are required. No weights to adjust. No springs to crank. The SBD is ACCA Manual Zr compliant. As an added benefit of the unique blade design and the smart, self-balancing feature of the SBD, there is no need to install and setup a separate bypass balancing hand damper.

The URD series of round motorized dampers are a double layered blade design with an integrated Poron™ sealing gasket. The superior design insures long life and zero maintenance. URD dampers are easy to install, easy to wire up and come with a 5 year warranty. The URD damper is constructed of heavy 24 ga galvanized steel with factory rolled stiffening beads. The nylon bearings and Thermotuff™ drive shafts insure smooth, quiet operation and provide a thermal barrier to the motor. The URD is designed to operate reliably at static pressures up to 1-1/2 in WC. The UL listed MA-ND5 actuator is a 24 VAC 3 wire power open/power close type rated at 18 in-lb of torque. It includes an integrated wiring terminal block and a NEMA1 rated housing. The MA-ND5 motor features bright green and red LED’s which correspond to the open and closed position of the blade. The “SAS” supply air sensor allows precise real time monitoring of the supply air temperature on your zoned HVAC system. The SAS wires directly into the BMPlus, NCM300, EWC-300, UZC4 and UT3000 series control panels and senses the supply air temperature in both heating and cooling modes. Using the adjustable potentiometers or LCD menu on the control panel, the installer can set the desired temperature limit set-points on most EWC zoned HVAC systems. This will protect the HVAC equipment from excessive temperature rise or fall during heating and cooling operations. EWC recommends mounting the SAS in the supply air plenum, approximately 6 to 12 in downstream of the heat exchanger or DX coil. The XM-2 is the expansion panel for the BMPlus3000 series control panels. The XM-2 will allow the original (3) three zone panel to be expand 2 zones at a time. The XM-2 comes with a “plug-and-play” cable that will connect to the main zone panel.
